Taylor Rebora

Owner and Winemaker

Taylor was born and raised in Chicago, IL where she got her first exposure to the wine industry while working for City Winery. She studied Wine & Viticulture with a concentration in Wine Business at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. During her time there, she worked her first vintage with Talley Vineyards in the Edna Valley in 2017. This was followed with vintages at Tooth & Nail Winery in Paso Robles and Deovlet Wines in San Luis Obispo. She learned about the hard work, dedication and comradery that winemaking entails and fell in love with production. This passion took her to Tooth & Nail Winery in Paso Robles where she got exposure to larger production winemaking and warm climate varieties. Following harvest, Taylor went back to school to finish her degree while working in Tooth & Nail’s tasting room and gained exposure to front of house sales. By the time that 2019 rolled around, Taylor stuck around for one more vintage in the Central Coast where she worked with the incredible team at Deovlet Wines. The owner, Ryan Deovlet, and his Associate Winemaker, Grace Kegel, taught Taylor about the importance of honoring tradition while embracing the future. She was able to work with some of the most iconic vineyards in Santa Barbara County and learn about the small details of winemaking that can guide a wine to being the most expressive version of itself.

In 2020, Taylor went to work for Rippon Vineyard in Central Otago, New Zealand. She spent the first three months working in their biodynamic vineyard before stepping into the cellar and getting to work with varieties like Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Osteiner and Gamay. As the pandemic continued, she found herself coming back to the U.S. but ready for the next adventure. She moved up to Oregon where she now resides. Since she moved here, she’s worked at Antica Terra, L’angolo Estate and most recently Beckham Estate Vineyard where Rebora Wines was born. In between she had the opportunity to continue her love of travel and work a harvest with her favorite South African producer, Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines.

Taylor’s first vintage of Rebora Wines represents her travel, the mentors she has worked under and the lessons that she has learned about winemaking throughout her education and work experience. Her time in the wine industry has taught her about how precious and fleeting moments can be, and her goal with Rebora Wines is to try and capture the energy of each vintage to share with you.
